MANILA, Philippines —P-pop sensation BINI had to put a sudden stop to their Independence Day show in Manila after the audience became unruly.

BINI was slated to perform at the government’s Independence Day festivities in Luneta Park after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. delivered his speech.

However, after performing their song “Lagi,” the girl group had to appeal to the audience to behave upon noticing that a fan had fainted due to the crowding.

The situation worsened when BINI noticed fans climbing up posts and barriers to get a better view of their performance.

Despite appeals from the girl group, the performance had to be cut short for the crowd’s safety.

In a Facebook post after the event, BINI thanked their supporters but said safety came first.

“Thank you sa lahat ng sumuporta ngayong gabi! Ngunit safety first po tayo and we hope for your understanding. More chances to see each other real soon! We hope everyone gets home safely tonight. Maraming salamat! Happy Independence Day,” they said.
