HORI7ON’s Kyler Chua is set to work with “Miracle in Cell No. 7” star Kal So-won in the music video of “It’s Rainy Day,” sung by South Korean veteran singer Lee Seung-chul.
Chua’s casting was confirmed by his label MLD Entertainment, where the HORI7ON member will show off his acting chops with Kal in the modern rock track.
“HORI7ON member Kyler and actress Kal So-won will appear in the music video for Lee Seung Chul’s new song ‘It’s Rainy Day.’ Please look forward to the synergy of the two with their romantic acting,” MLD said in a press statement.
A music video teaser, uploaded by Lee on Instagram on Friday, June 7, showed Chua and Kal in school uniforms where they rode a bike, shielded themselves with a blanket in a storm, and took a bus ride, all while sharing longing gazes at each other.
“It’s Rainy Day” is a promotional single for Lee’s 13th album and 40th anniversary special album. The music video will be released on June 11.
Chua was confirmed as a member of HORI7ON in the final episode of survival show “Dream Maker” in February 2023, where he ranked third.
The all-Filipino global pop group debuted in July 2023 with the album “Friend-Ship,” and is also composed of Jeromy Batac, Marcus Cabais, Vinci Malizon, Reyster Yton, Kim Ng, and Winston Pineda.
Meanwhile, Kal gained recognition after starring as Lee Ye-sung in the hit drama film “Miracle in Cell No. 7” which also spawned a Filipino adaptation in 2019.
