‘BangBangCon 2024’ among highlights of BTS FESTA celebration

Dedicated fans — or ARMY — of BTS took a trip down memory lane as BangBangCon 2024 revisited the K-pop powerhouse’s past concerts, as one of the highlights of the group’s annual “Festa” celebration.

Every year, the septet celebrates their debut anniversary in a two-week-long celebration called “BTS Festa” featuring never-before-seen photos, videos dedicated to fans, radio programs, variety shows, and other fan-related activities.

While BTS’ members are fulfilling their mandatory military service, it didn’t stop the group from celebrating their 11th debut anniversary through a variety of content that shows the group’s love for their fans.

Among the highlights of BTS Festa’s 2024 edition was the return of BangBangCon 2024 which aired on Saturday, June 8, on the group’s official YouTube channel. This marks the second edition of BangBangCon following from last year.

The schedule of BangBangCon 2024 included three of BTS’ past concerts, namely, “Live Trilogy Episode II The Red Bullet” in 2014, “Live Trilogy Episode III The Wings Tour Final” in 2017, and “BTS World Tour Love Yourself: Speak Yourself (The Final)” in 2019.

Some of the key performances in the 2014 show included “We Are Bulletproof Pt.2,” “Embarrassed,” “Outro: Purpose” with Jin, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, “Cypher Pt.3 Killer with RM, Suga, J-Hope,” and “Paldogangsan,” just to name a few.

Meanwhile, among the songs performed in the 2017 “Wings Tour Final” were “Begin (Jungkook),” “Lie (Jimin),” “First Love (Suga),” “Reflection (RM),” “Stigma (V),” “Mama (J-Hope),” and “Awake (Jin).”

On the other hand, some of the highlights in the setlist of “Speak Yourself (The Final)” were “Not Today,” “Serendipity,” “Trivia: Love,” “Singularity,” “Epiphany,” “Make It Right,” and “Mikrokosmos,” among many others.

Jin, who will be discharged on June 12, will celebrate BTS’ anniversary with the “Jin’s Gathering” event in South Korea, where he will give free hugs to 1,000 lucky fans. The second part of the event will be available on the fan community platform Weverse for members.

The event will be held at the Seoul Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul, South Korea, on June 13.

BTS made their official debut on June 13 with their first mini-album “2 Cool 4 Skool.” Formed by BigHit Entertainment, the group is composed of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Their label rebranded into the K-pop conglomerate HYBE, with the group now being managed by one of its sub-labels BigHit Music.
