Kim Chiu wants past relationship with Xian Lim to be put to rest
Following Xian Lim’s recent statements concerning their past relationship, Kim Chiu broke her silence to appeal that she hopes her ex and other people will stop talking about the relationship and finally put it to rest.
In an exclusive interview with TV Patrol, the “It’s Showtime” host remarked that when they announced their separation in December 2023, she was expecting to have a “fresh start” this year.
“Entering 2024 sabi ko talaga, ‘I just want a fresh start, a new beginning. And I don’t want to dwell sa past’ Parang ‘yung post ko nung December sabi ko, this will be the last time na pag-uusapan ko ‘to,” she said.
Chiu remarked that no one would talk about it if no one was initiating the conversation, saying, “Pero parang ang dami pa rin, hindi naman siya mapag-uusapan if no one is lighting the fire.”
When asked what she would like to say to Lim, the actress-host underscored that she doesn’t want to develop any grudges, so she hopes they will treat each other with respect.

Lim recently opened up anew about his past relationship with Chiu, saying he and his family have been receiving death threats and false accusations that they “do not deserve.”
The actor also gave an answer when he was asked if he tried “playtime,” or treating a relationship as not serious, to which he responded, “Kung ako ‘yung nang-playtime, hindi po. If ako ba ‘yung na-playtime, hindi ko alam.”
“Maski sabihin po natin weeks lang po ‘yan or years, you can never say it was playtime because there was a reason kung bakit dumating ‘yung taong ‘yon sa buhay mo, mapamaganda or hindi,” added Lim.
Chiu and Lim dated for 12 years before calling it quits last year. The actor is now dating movie producer Iris Lee.
