Xian Lim opened up anew about his breakup with actress-host Kim Chiu, saying he and his family “don’t deserve the death threats and false accusations” that he said they have been receiving.
In an interview with GMA Integrated News, the “Love.Die.Repeat.” actor remarked that he understands the pain that their fans feel even up to this day when their 12-year relationship ended.
“It’s sad and very painful, but life goes on,” he said. “It’s really hard. It’s getting out of hand, na. Sabihin nila nag-iingay si Xian dahil may pelikula, no.”
“We did explain from the bottom of our hearts kung ano talaga ang nangyari. Hindi na namin kailangan pa isa-isahin kung sino ang nagkulang because it’s just like any other relationship,” continued the actor.

Lim asserted that he’s been working really hard and doesn’t deserve the lies being spread about him.
“I do not deserve the false accusations and lies being spread. I work really hard. We are all working really hard. I don’t want to be defined by what happened with my breakup or my previous relationship. I don’t want to be defined by what people are saying about me—these false headlines, o kung ano man,” he expressed.
The Kapuso actor underscored that he and his family have been receiving death threats and affirmed that he can handle the gravity of the situation but that his loved ones don’t deserve to be included.
“Sige, ako na po ‘yung tirahin nila, but not my family. Nadadamay na rin kasi ‘yung nanay ko pati ‘yung lola ko. They’re getting personal messages. I’m getting death threats. My mom’s getting death threats. That’s the gravity of the situation I’m dealing with now. My family doesn’t deserve all the makeup lies,” he lamented.
In December 2023, Lim and Chiu confirmed their separation. The actor is now dating film producer Iris Lee.
