Miles Ocampo opted to keep the real score between her and ex-boyfriend Elijah Canlas private, but she shared that they’re “happy” with what they have.
More than a month after Canlas said they’re “taking it easy,” Ocampo told reporters on the sidelines of the media conference for her new TV series, “Padyak Princess,” that they’re “happy” together.
“We’re happy. ‘Yun na lang po ang gusto kong i-share kasi kaming dalawa, masaya naman kami. Sa lahat ng nangyari, mas gusto naming tahimik na lang kaming dalawa,” she said when asked about their real score.
(We’re happy. That’s all I want to share between the two of us. We’re happy. In everything that happened, I would like to keep quiet about what we have between us.)
Ocampo, however, laughed when asked again if she and Canlas indeed got back together.
“Sobrang ingat lang ako sumagot pagdating sa mga ganito kasi I [don’t want people] to think I’m using it kasi may show akong pinopromote. Gusto ko lang sabihin na we’re happy right now. Kung ano man ang nangyari sa’min, sa’min na lang ‘yun,” she said soon after.
(I’m just very careful in answering questions like this because I don’t want people to think I’m using it to promote my show. I just want to say that we’re happy right now. Whatever happens between us, happens between us.)
The actress then pointed out that the public doesn’t need to know too much between them.
“Feeling ko hindi naman kailangan malaman lahat, as long as kung ano pong nakikita niyo. Kung masaya kami, masaya kami,” she said. “Hindi kami madamot kasi kung ano ang pwede naming i-share, ishe-share namin ‘yun. Pero for now, masaya kami.”
(I feel like I don’t need people to know everything between us, as long as what you can see. If we’re happy, we’re happy. We’re not selfish because what we want to share, we’ll share it. But we’re happy for now.)
Canlas was also mum on the real score between him and Ocampo and instead said they’re “taking it easy” last May. This came two months after the latter admitted they’re trying to rekindle their relationship.
Ocampo and Canlas were together for two years before confirming their split in November 2023.
