Elisse Joson defends McCoy de Leon amid playboy accusations

Elisse Joson came to the defense of her partner, McCoy de Leon, amid the playboy allegations that the latter is facing, saying she made a “mistake.”
The actress shared on her Instagram Story a series of comments she made on her TikTok page, explaining that “she did something that hurt de Leon” and that people were “only seeing a portion of what had happened.”
“Meron talagang hindi nakakaintindi (There are people who can’t understand). I did something that hurt him really badly. Now that he’s hurting, he doesn’t know how to take the pain away,” she said. “‘He’s living with closed eyes.’ He’s protecting me so that the blame will be on him.”
“True enough, you all see what he’s doing wrong, and since our issue is private, you only see that he’s the only one at fault. I posted this so that those who can comprehend the context of this post can see the actuality of the situation,” continued the actress.
Joson remarked that de Leon is “going through the worst” as people accuse him of “following and liking other pictures of women despite already having a girlfriend.”
“And the liking or following whatsoever is only a small portion of what he is going through.
What our family is going through. Kumbaga, katiting lang yun (it’s just a small fraction). McCoy is going through the worst right now,” she said, adding that people should think before they comment.

On Instagram, the “Dirty Linen” actress penned a lengthy and heartfelt message for de Leon alongside their sweet pictures together with their daughter, Felize.
In her caption, Joson set things aright regarding people’s misconceptions about her partner, saying that in fact “he’s a good person” and “he’s working hard to provide for his family,” among others.
The 28-year-old actress underscored that de Leon is only human and that he needs healing after his mistakes and the mistakes of those around him.
“Don’t put him in a category. Don’t put him in a box. He’s a person. There is no label or description you put him into. A person worthy of being known for himself as a whole. Not his past, not his mistakes, not whatever you see him as. Mccoy is just ‘Mccoy,’ a human being just like you,” she said.
In January 2023, de Leon confirmed that they had broken up and that there was no third party involved, after pictures of him with another woman surfaced. In June of the same year, the actor shared that they were officially back together and had rekindled their romance.
