Zsa Zsa Padilla’s surgery successful, says daughter

MANILA, Philippines—The surgical operation to remove a golf-ball sized tumor in the kidney of TV host-actress Zsa Zsa Padilla has been a success, daughter Zia Quizon confirmed via her official Facebook account.

In her shout-out Tuesday, she wrote: “Surgery was a success. As far as the doctors could tell, it has not spread anywhere else. Thank you everyone for your prayers and support.”

After the death of long-time partner, Rodolfo “Dolphy” Quizon, Padilla took some time off to grieve away from the public eye.

When she came out, the news on her being diagnosed with kidney cancer shocked the entertainment industry.

It was reported Padilla hopes to be home in a week or two after the surgery.
