Filipino-American model Kelsey Merritt had a memorable experience as she recently rubbed elbows with Hollywood stars Nicholas Galitzine and Alexandra Daddario.
On Instagram, the 27-year-old model shared some snaps from the F1 Monaco Grand Prix, where all three of them were in attendance.
“My first F1 Monaco Grand Prix! Thank you [tagheuer] for such a fun weekend,” she wrote in the caption.
The Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco 2024, held on Sunday, May 26, in Monte-Carlo, Monaco, was star-studded as Anya Taylor-Joy, Jared Leto and Joe Jonas, among others, also graced the event.
Meanwhile, Merritt also stunned at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival in a slimming black dress with a plunging neckline that complemented her body figure on the red carpet of the prestigious event.
Merritt is known as the first Filipina to walk the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which is returning later this year after a six-year hiatus.
She also appeared in the pages of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue. Merritt was born and raised in Pampanga and began her modeling career in Manila.
She studied college at Ateneo de Manila University and finished her degree at age 20 partly financed by her own savings.
“Even when I was so tired and jet lagged, I would still force myself to study. The hardest part of college for me was juggling both work and school,” she said, recalling her college days.
“I was really busy with work and school, so I didn’t have much time to have a ‘college life.’ It was a hard thing to balance, and my grades suffered in my first year. I didn’t want to give up one or the other, so I fought hard to find a system that worked for me where I could do both,” added the model.
In 2017, Merritt moved to New York City to further pursue her modeling career.
