Alonzo made headlines in February after Boy Abunda confirmed her separation from Roque. The actress also recently encountered controversies in her work after her camp and the producers of the movie “1521” raised some issues arising from Alonzo’s “alleged unreasonable demands on the set of the film.”
On May 26, the film’s producer, Francis B. Lara Ho, apologized and said he was “taking responsibility” for decisions that were made on the set that eventually inconvenienced the lead actress.
“I hope she hears this: I apologize. Because of my limited knowledge and experience—I’m a first-time producer—I made some calls that apparently didn’t help her, and I take responsibility for them. It wasn’t my intention to hurt her,” Lara Ho told Inquirer Entertainment.
Meanwhile, Alonzo was not present during the movie’s advanced premiere on May 30. Lara Ho remarked that he understands why the Kapuso star couldn’t come.
“We sent invitations to her, and we have requested Viva to do that. I also requested that my project manager do that. Even if she doesn’t show up, it’s not her fault,” the film producer told ABS-CBN.
