Is Vice Ganda releasing a diss track? Some fans think so after he announced that he is set to drop his new single entitled “Bwak Bwak Bwak” on June 1.
The comedian and “It’s Showtime” host shared through his Instagram page an animated clip of the title, which uses a few lines of the song as its background music.
“Bwak bwak bwak bwak bwak bwak /Ano nga ulit ‘yung sinasabi mo? / Bwak bwak bwak bwak bwak bwak / Lord, please, kunin mo na siya,” Vice Ganda raps.
The new single was also announced by ABS-CBN Music label StarPop via its Instagram page.
“Isang BWAK, BWAK, BWAK! para sa’yo!” it said in the caption.
Excited netizens then swarmed the comments section, speculating that the song is intended to allude to someone. While Vice Ganda did not state any name on his announcement, some were seemingly convinced that the song takes a swipe at veteran showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin.
It can be recalled that the comedian earlier used the term “Bwak bwak bwak” when he made mention of Fermin during an episode of “It’s Showtime.”
He and fellow host Jhong Hilario were having a banter at the time when the latter told him, “Ganyan naman kasi kayong mga babae.” Before Hilario could finish the sentence, Vice Ganda cut him and said in a mocking tone, “Bakla ako, bakla ako!”
“Wag mong sasabihin ‘yan, magagalit si Cristy Fermin!” the comedian continued.
“’Hindi ka babae, Vice Ganda!’ sabi niya—bwak bwak bwak bwak bwak,” he further quoted the columnist, who said such in November last year when she responded to Vice Ganda alluding to her.
It could not be immediately confirmed, however, if the comedian’s new track is indeed aimed at Fermin.
