Donita Rose comforts sister-in-law Sheena Palad after FAMAS fiasco
Donita Rose extended kind words to Sheena Palad, the sister of her husband Felson Palad, after the FAMAS awards night debacle which involved the singer and veteran actress Eva Darren.
Sheena received bashing after she “replaced” Darren as actor Tirso Cruz III’s co-presenter at the recent awarding ceremony.
In Sheena’s defense, she said she was just instructed last minute by a staff member to present the award, and that she didn’t know Darren was supposed to be the presenter.
Rose then publicly expressed her support for Sheena, leaving a comment on the latter’s Facebook video in which the singer explained her side of the story.
“There is light at the end of the tunnel, sis!” the actress said.

“As with any parent, it pains me deeply to witness the accusations and mistreatment she has endured. However, I choose not to dwell on that and instead focus on my sister’s well-being,” he said on his Instagram page.
“What I am certain of is this: despite the hurt caused by the words and actions directed at her, my sister is resilient. She finds strength in her faith, knowing that her Heavenly Father watches over her and that she has been raised as a warrior guided by the word of God,” he stated.

The organizers of the FAMAS awards night apologized to Darren and her family, saying the actress had to be “replaced” because she couldn’t be “located by the production team” at the ceremony.
The actress’ son, Fernando de la Peña, responded to the award-giving body and said that it was “impossible” not to find Darren because she was seated at the front.
De la Peña later accepted the apology and advised the organizers to “stick to the script” and wear “a nice pair of eyeglasses” for next year’s awarding ceremony.
