The Season Two of the black comedy series “Wednesday” has officially begun filming, but a member of the original cast, Percy Hynes White, who played Xavier Thorpe, will not be returning in the upcoming season.
On Tuesday, May 7 (EST), Netflix unveiled the full cast for the new season. Jenna Ortega will reprise her titular role as Wednesday Addams, joined by her onscreen family: Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams.
Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, and Georgie Farmer will also be returning, as will Fred Armisen and Jamie McShane in guest roles.
However, fans have noticed that Hynes White is missing from the lineup, especially since he played one of the potential romantic interests of Wednesday in the first season.
After the season two announcement, the 22-year-old actor took to his Instagram story to seemingly bid his goodbye to the show.
“I had so much fun working on this show. I can’t wait to watch season 2:) Much love,” he wrote alongside a red heart emoji.

Last year, Hynes White got tangled up with misconduct allegations, which he denied at the time.
In January 2023, an X (Twitter) user alleged that the actor had assaulted her and other women at a party. In a now-deleted tweet, the user claimed that the Hynes White and his friends provided alcohol and drugs to underage girls to lure them into having sex with them.
After the allegations of sexual assault made the rounds online, Hynes White took to Instagram to call the claims a “campaign of misinformation.”
“Earlier this year, somebody I’ve never met started a campaign of misinformation about me online. Because of this, my family has been doxxed, and my friends have received death threats,” he wrote on his Instagram story at the time.
“The rumors are false. I can’t accept the portrayal of me as someone who is bigoted or criminally negligent of people’s safety. These are the kinds of baseless, harmful claims that can create mistrust toward victims. It’s very distressing to know that this misinformation has upset people,” he continued, adding that he’s thankful for the people who stood by his side amid the allegations.
After premiering on Netflix in 2022, “Wednesday” became one of the most-watched shows for the streamer to this day.
