Ian Veneracion caught the attention of netizens after he was recorded flipping an audience member onstage during his performance at a local beauty pageant in Santiago, Isabela.
In a video circulating on social media, Veneracion was seen greeting the audience in what seemed to be an intermission number at the Binibining Santiago 2024 pageant, before taking the hand of an unnamed woman to go onstage with him. The actor then cued the woman to raise her arms before he carried her in a somersault-like position.
Behind him, the beauty queens were visibly shocked at the encounter, while some clapped their hands.
Veneracion and the female audience member then laughed before hugging onstage.

The video was reuploaded by netizens, including one @AltKapamilyaCH on X (formerly Twitter), which garnered over two million views.
Some netizens were confused about Veneracion’s way of fan service in the quotes, while others described the encounter as the actor allowing his “intrusive thoughts” to take over him.

Veneracion’s camp has yet to comment on the now-viral fan encounter, as of press time.
The actor made headlines in January 2024 after writer-director Ronaldo Carballo claimed Veneracion requested a P500,000 talent fee for a two-hour public appearance at Tarlac City’s Kaisa Festival. Organizers of the festival denied the claims made by Carballo.
Veneracion’s camp eventually vowed to take legal action against Carballo, as his claim was made as an attempt to “publicly humiliate” the actor.
