Mavy Legaspi tells mom Carmina Villarroel there’s no need to fight bashers
Mavy Legaspi made his mother, Carmina Villarroel, tear up as he gave a heartwarming Mother’s Day message, opening up the criticism his mom became a recipient to at the hands of her bashers.
On the Saturday episode of “Sarap, ‘Di Ba?” the Sparkle actor remarked that his mother is strong enough to handle all criticism, saying she and their family need not fight back at their critics because even the haters have mothers that they love.
“Kayang-kaya mo (You can handle it). ‘Di na kailangan magsalita (We don’t need to talk), ‘di na kailangan i-justify (we don’t need to justify it) or fight the criticism. Lahat ng criticisms or hate kasi wala ‘yun, bored lang sila sa buhay nila (All the criticisms or hate is nothing; they’re all just bored with their lives),” he said.
“At the end of the day, I know in their hearts, kahit may criticism (even there’s criticism) whatsoever, they all have their own mothers that they love. We don’t need to fight back,” he continued.
Legaspi underscored that the bashers only rely on the posts or interviews, and they don’t get to see what lies inside his mother’s heart.

Pero hindi nila nakikita ang anong laman ng puso ni Mama (but they don’t get to see what is inside Mama’s heart), and that’s my biggest blessing.” explained Legaspi.

The former “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” host asserted that he and his mother “are back on track,” saying that there were events that made him realize some things.
“We’re back on track and sana tuluy-tuloy lang ‘to (I hope this will continue). Feeling ko ito, ‘yung blessing na ibinigay ni Lord para sa atin (I feel like this is the blessing that Lord gave to us), personally, as mother and son na duo,” stated the Kapuso artist.
“I guess itong turn of events naging malaking blessing para sa akin (the turn of events became a big blessing to me) to realize a lot of things,” he added.
It can be recalled that Legaspi is being labeled by the netizens as Mama’s boy after rumors that Villarroel was controlling her twins’ lives, especially Mavy’s, who at the time was reportedly dating his rumored girlfriend and former love team, Kyline Alcantara.
While they have not confirmed their relationship, Legaspi and Alcantara reportedly parted ways on a sour note.
