Celebrity mom Bianca King revealed that her move to Australia was unplanned as it happened during the pandemic lockdown, and now the next thing she knows is that she’s building a family abroad.
In an interview on “24 Oras Weekend,” King shared that life in Australia has its ups and downs, stressing that during and after her pregnancy, it becomes tougher for her.
“During pregnancy that was a different story. I think postpartum was an entirely different story as well. It wasn’t the easiest experience for me and motherhood in the earliest days of postpartum is so isolating already,” she said.
“llagay mo ‘yung isang babae sa isang foreign country na walang pamilya, walang close friends (put a girl in a foreign country with no family, no close friends) nearby. It was very tough for me,” she continued.
Despite the struggle, the former actress expressed that she remains grateful for having the chance to raise her daughter abroad and that she also makes sure that she looks after herself every now and then.
“I just have to remain grateful that this is the kind of life that she was born into. Ganito ang hangin na nai-inhale niya (this is the kind of air she inhales) every single day,” she said.
“There comes a point also that you have to strike a balance. Mama has to fill her cup. Hindi naman puwedeng puro family na lang and napa-pabayaan mo na ‘yung mga interests and hobbies mo (You can’t always entirely focus on just family and neglect your interests and hobbies),” she added.
King married Ralph Wintle in 2021 and gave birth to their daughter Sadie the following year. Wintle is the younger brother of entrepreneur Ben Wintle, who is married to King’s friend, actress Iza Calzado.
Earlier this year, King held a double baptism for Sadie and Deia, daughter of her sister-in-law, Calzado.
