Marian Rivera brings back ‘Marimar’ look in Asoka makeup challenge

After much anticipation, Marian Rivera finally brought her beloved character Marimar back to life as she did her own interpretation of the Asoka makeup challenge, which is making waves on TikTok.
The makeup challenge is based on the 2001 Bollywood film “Asoka,” where barefaced content creators would use fast-paced transitions until the video ends with them wearing glamorous looks inspired by their respective cultures.
The makeup challenge, which originally features the “Asoka” theme song “San Sanana,” is making waves on the video-sharing platform, which also included Ivana Alawi having her interpretation.

This time, Rivera delighted fans by taking on the reins of Marimar on her social media platforms on Saturday, April 27.

Rivera’s supporters, including actresses Sanya Lopez, Kyline Alcantara and Sofia Andres, former SexBomb member Sugar Mercado, and content creator Zeinab Harake couldn’t help but fangirl over the actress’ video in the comments.
Meanwhile, some of the actress’ fans pointed out that Rivera had to take down the original video from TikTok due to copyright issues related to the background music.

Rivera was propelled to superstardom after auditioning and getting the lead role in the 2007 series “Marimar,” which starred her now-husband Dingdong Dantes as her leading man.
The role was reprised by Miss World 2013 Megan Young in August 2015, opposite Tom Rodriguez.
The series is an adaptation of the 1994 Mexican telenovela which starred singer-actress Thalia.
