OPM singer Angeline Quinto finally ties the knot with her non-showbiz boyfriend, Nonrev Daquina, on Thursday, April 25 at Quiapo Church in Manila.
Quinto wore a simple white or cream off-the-shoulder gown, with her hair pulled in a neat pony tail, as she held a cascade of white blooms on one hand. Her soon-to-be two-year-old son Sylvio brought her to the altar where they were met by Daquina, who was wearing an off-white Barong Tagalog and black pants.
The wedding ceremony was attended by members of their family, friends, and some personalities from the entertainment industry, among them Vice Ganda, who served as man of honor; Erik Santos, who took on the role of ring bearer; and Sarah Geronimo, who served as the flower girl.
Some of the principal sponsors include Charo Santos-Concio, Boy Abunda, Martin Nievera, Regine Velasquez, Vicky Belo, Zsazsa Padilla, and Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna, among others.
During the ceremony, Quinto also surprised fans with the drop of her new single, “Salamat Ika’y Dumating.”
A video shared on Instagram by event stylist Dave Sandoval showed the iconic Quiapo church’s aisle lined with large floor vases of baby’s breath, while white blooms also adorned arches leading to the altar.
Quinto was shown to be crying when she finally reached Daquina’s side in front of the altar.
On April 16, entertainment insider Ogie Diaz first broke the news that Quinto and Daquina’s wedding will take place at the Quiapo Church, which holds a special place in their heart as they are both devotees of the Black Nazarene.
Quinto previously expressed her gladness to have shared the same religious beliefs as her then boyfriend.
“Si Non dahil laking Sampaloc (Manila) rin siya so buong family niya devotee rin ng Nazareno at ayun naman rin ‘yung isa sa kinagulat ko natutuwa ako na pareho pala kami ng devotion,” she said at the time.
(Non grew up in Sampaloc; he and his family are all devotees of the Black Nazarene, and I was amazed to learn that, but at the same time glad to know that we share the same devotion.)
Diaz also claimed that Quinto is currently pregnant with their second child, but this has not been confirmed yet by the singer-actress. “Balita ring buntis si Angeline sa second baby nila ni Nonrev, kaya magkakaroon na ng kapatid si Baby Sylvio,” he said.
(It is also news that Angeline is pregnant with her and Nonrev’s second baby, so Baby Sylvio will have a sibling.)
The singer-actress got engaged to Daquina in September 2022, a few months after welcoming their first child, Sylvio, on April 27 of the same year.
Quinto is currently starring as Sarah Angeles in the Philippine adaptation of “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?”
