SB19-owned and -handled talent agency, 1Z Entertainment, released a statement asking for respect and privacy after some fans allegedly stalked the Filipino boy-band members by camping outside their office.

In the statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), the agency acknowledged the valuable connection between the band members and their fans, but emphasized the importance of setting respectful boundaries between the two parties.

“We deeply value the connection between our artists and their fans. We appreciate the love and support you show towards their work, performances, and personal lives. However, we kindly ask for your understanding and respect when it comes to our artists’ privacy,” 1Z Entertainment wrote.

“We encourage you, our dedicated fans, to express your admiration in positive and respectful ways. This includes refraining from behavior such as stalking, unauthorized photography or recording, or attempting to access private information about our artists.” it added.

The talent agency said the group is looking forward to interacting with the fans at the appropriate times and events.

Reports circulated online involving some fans allegedly “camping” outside SB19’s office as well as in other places where the members usually stay. One of the videos that made the rounds online also showed fans allegedly searching through the boy group’s trash.

After the agency’s call for privacy, the fans called A’TINs urged their fellow supporters to be more responsible in showing love for the group and be more respectful not to invade the privacy of the artists.

“Aside from SB19, please also refrain from invading the privacy of their staff, friends, and family. Also, please know that being in a public area does not mean you are entitled to cross personal boundaries. Every person has a personal space regardless of where they are,” wrote one user.

“Thank you 1Z Ent for this reminder. It’s about time for others to reflect on themselves about boundaries between artists and fans. It’s sad that this happened,” said another fan.

SB19 is known for such hits as “GENTO,” “Bazinga” and “Mapa,” among others. The group is also the first Southeast Asian act to be nominated for the Billboard Music Awards and the first Southeast Asian act to land among the top 10 on the Billboard Social 50.
