Sparkle GMA Artist Center asked the public to be wary of fake recruitment activities that use its name on social media and hold auditions where participants are required to remove their clothes or send “sexy photos.”
Sparkle, the talent management arm of the Kapuso network, released an official statement on the matter through its Instagram page on Tuesday, April 16.
“It has come to our attention that there are certain individuals posing as Sparkle executives and are conducting unauthorized recruitment activities on Viber, Telegram and Whatsapp,” it read.
“Employees of GMA and Sparkle will never ask you to attend casting auditions, whether in person or online, where you will be required to take off your clothes,” it stressed. “Nor will you ever be asked to send sexy photos or image where you’re unclothed.”
The company also urged the public to report fake auditions should they encounter such.
In the comments section, netizens lamented the occurrence of such illegal activity, with some saying that they were contacted by the individuals claiming to be Sparkle employees.

Last January, GMA also released a statement informing the public of scammers using the network’s name to hold fake auditions for its upcoming TV series “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre” and ask money from the victims.
