Fans will once again have the power to propel their favorite Miss Universe Philippines 2024 delegate further in the competition with the online voting slated to start with the swimsuit challenge scheduled in Boracay this weekend.

“VOTE for your favorite delegate and help her secure a spot in the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Finals!” the national pageant organization said on social media on April 17. As in the previous editions, the delegates with the highest score in every challenge will move up to the next round of competition.

The first of the crucial preliminary contests in the calendar is the Swimsuit challenge, which will be held at Aqua Boracay on April 20, at 7 P.M. The public may witness the event live, with a special entry rate that already comes with a dinner buffet at Qtchn Restaurant. Gates will open at 5 P.M.

Last year’s swimsuit challenge winner was Pauline Amelinckx, the three-time contestant from Bohol who finished in the final three of the 2023 Miss Universe Philippines pageant, a placement that earned for her the Miss Supranational Philippines title that paved the way for her participation in the 2023 Miss Supranational competition where she was proclaimed as first runner-up.

“Tune in to our official challenges and cast you votes only on the official Miss Universe Philippines App,” the national pageant organization informed the public, along with instructions on how to take part in the online poll.

Fans will need to download the Miss Universe Philippines App on their devices, either through the Google Play Store of Apple App Store. Then they will have to go to the Challenge Vote tab where they can key in their votes for their chosen delegates.

The Miss Universe Philippines pageant’s challenges will take place every week. The previous editions also had the Runway Challenge and Glam Challenge, which were won by Angelique Manto and Jannarie Zarzoso, respectively.

Reigning queen Michelle Marquez Dee will crown her successor, who will be chosen from among 53 delegates at the culmination of the final competition that will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on May 22. Filipino drag superstar Marina Summers, a finalist in season 2 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs. the World,” is scheduled to perform during the ceremonies.

The 2024 Miss Universe Philippines winner will represent the country in the 73rd Miss Universe pageant that will be held in Mexico later this year, and try to inherit the crown from Sheynnis Palacios to become the fifth Filipino woman to earn the international title.
