Filipino queen Yllana Marie Aduana’s Miss Earth “sisters” will fly to the Philippines to join her at the homestretch of her reign as national queen as she is set to crown her successor next month.

The Miss Earth pageant announced on social media that reigning queen Drita Ziri from Albania will visit the country with Miss Earth-Water Do Lan Anh of Vietnam and Miss Earth-Fire Cora Bliault from Thailand. The Filipino queen was crowned Miss Earth-Air during the final competition held in Vietnam in December.

The Manila-based global pageant said the 2023 queens will come to the Philippines “for a series of media and environmental activities, and to attend the Miss Philippines Earth 2024.” The media conference of the reigning beauties is scheduled on May 7 at the Brittany Hotel in Villar City in Cavite.

Aduana will crown her Miss Philippines Earth successor at the final competition that will be held in the town of Talakag in the province of Bukidnon on May 11. Twenty-nine ladies are competing for the national crown.

The Miss Philippines Earth pageant presented this year’s delegates before a group of media scribes and other guests at Lime Resort Manila in Pasay City on April 17. Ira Patricia Malaluan from Batangas City left quite an impression this early in the competition when she earned the most nods for the “Press Favorites” poll.

Jey Ann Reyes from the Filipino community in Rome, Italy, amassed the second highest number of votes from members of the media, while Gwen Marie Perion from Opol, Misamis Oriental, garnered the third most votes.

The sister tilts Miss Philippines Earth and Miss Earth were founded by Carousel Productions in 2001 to serve as a platform for promoting environmental conservation and protection. The winners and candidates in both pageants are expected to spearhead projects that promote sustainability.

The winner of the 2024 Miss Philippines Earth pageant will represent the country in the 24th Miss Earth competition in Vietnam later this year.
