Claim: An article by Anne Pasajol of INQUIRER.net reported about Boy Abunda’s “deleted” interview with actress Max Collins in his GMA talk show “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.” Abunda and Collins’ conversation apparently escalated into an argument after the TV host questioned how she suddenly became rich. Collins then supposedly disclosed that she had a cryptocurrency investment, which immediately convinced Abunda in investing as well.

Fact Check: INQUIRER.net strongly denies publishing such a story. The article in question does not exist on the media company’s website. A screenshot of the article was flashed during Abunda’s show on Wednesday, April 17, with the TV host noting that the article used INQUIRER.net’s interface but that it was released through a cryptocurrency website.

Abunda likewise denied involvement with the cryptocurrency website during his show.

“Nililinaw ko po ito ngayon: hindi po ito totoo (I am setting the record straight now: this is not true). This is fake. This is a big lie,” Abunda said. “The legal team of GMA is currently studying the our legal options against these scam websites.”
