Jennylyn Mercado warned the public against an unofficial subscription page that used her daughter Dylan’s name, lamenting how the people behind such would use the identity of a one-year-old child and make money out of it.

Aguila Entertainment, the talent management agency that manages Mercado and her actor husband Dennis Trillo, showed a screenshot of the unofficial but verified Facebook page of the couple’s daughter.

The page had 64,000 followers and had an option to subscribe for exclusive content for P55 per month.

“We would like to inform the public that the Facebook Page DYLAN JAYDE HO is not owned or managed by her parents Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo or their management team, Aguila Entertainment,” the management agency’s statement  read.

“We strongly condemn this clear case of identity theft. We urge the public to report this page, while our team looks into our legal options,” it added.

Mercado then addressed the user behind the Facebook page, urging the latter to communicate with their talent agency to “resolve” matters accordingly.

“Mali naman po ata na inassume niyo basta basta ang identity ng anak ko at nagawa niyo pang i-verify ‘yung page. May subscription option pa, which suggests na posibleng pinagkakakitaan niyo pa ito,” the actress said. “Mali po ‘yan.”

A few hours later, the unofficial Facebook page was deactivated. It was not immediately known, however, if the Facebook user had reached out to Mercado and her team.

Mercado and Trillo have been married since 2021. They welcomed Dylan on April 25, 2022.

Aside from their daughter, the pair each has a child—Mercado’s son Jazz and Trillo’s son Calix—from their previous relationships.
