Kapamilya actress Francine Diaz extended her apology after she trended online for mispronouncing the South Korean boy group’s name Tomorrow x Together (TXT).

On her Instagram live after the awarding ceremony, Diaz addressed her honest mistake of saying “Tomorrow Times Together” instead of “Tomorrow By Together” when she announced the group as the winner of Global K-pop Leader at the first Asia Star Entertainer Awards (ASEA) on April 10.

“I’m very sorry for that very big mistake. Pagpasensyahan niyo na po ako dahil hindi na po ako ganon ka-updated sa nangyayari ngayon sa K-pop world (Please excuse me because I am not that updated anymore with what is happening in the K-pop world),” she said.

“Alam niyo naman ako, dalawang grupo lang ang ini-istan ko. But now, alam ko na, na-educate na po ako (You know I only like two groups. But now, I know better because I’ve been educated). Tomorrow By Together,” added the actress.

Diaz also asserted that the boy group treated her well, stating, “In fairness sobrang babait nila kasabay ko sila bumaba sa stairs, pinapauna nila ako maglakad. Ino-oferan nila ako ng upuan. Napakabait nila.”

(In fairness, they were very kind when I went down the stairs with them, they let me walk first. They offered me a seat. They are very kind.)

The Filipino actress then thanked TXT’s fans, called MOAs, after taking the incident lightly and making the situation funny instead of bashing her.

“But thank you kasi tinake niyo in a positive way. Thank you hindi niyo po ginawang big deal,” she expressed.

Meanwhile, other personalities who also graced the event were Treasure, Billlie, Day6, Kwon Yuri of Girls’ Generation, Taecyeon of 2PM, Stray Kids, and The Boyz, among others.
