South Korean singer Park Bo-ram dies at 30

South Korean singer Park Bo-ram, 30, died on Thursday, April 11, although concerned authorities are still investigating the cause of death, as per her talent agency.

XANADU Entertainment, which manages Park, confirmed her demise through a statement obtained by Korean media outlet Soompi on Friday, April 12.

“It’s true that Park Bo Ram died on April 11. The cause of death is currently being investigated by the police,” the company briefly stated.

Further details on her death were not immediately known.

Park first appeared in the audition show “Superstar K2” of South Korean music channel Mnet in 2010. Four years later, she made her official debut with her song “Beautiful.”

She was also known for being the voice behind soundtracks of several hit Korean series, including “Hyehwa-dong” from “Reply 1988” (2015); “Please Say Something, Even Though It Is a Lie” from “W” (2016); and “Like A Dream” from “Prison Playbook” (2017).

Prior to her death, Park was also reportedly gearing up for a comeback, which would also celebrate the 10th anniversary of her debut.
