Denise Laurel dismayed by last-minute cancellation of collab
A visibly-disappointed Denise Laurel revealed that she was canceled on by a certain content creator despite plans regarding their collaboration being made in advance.
Laurel took to her Tiktok account on Friday, April 5 to address her disappointment with the content creator whom she did not identify. She said she made time to “conceptualize and clear [her] schedule” only for their upcoming collaboration to be canceled at the last minute.
“Conceptualizing, clearing my schedule, calling my prod team, getting my makeup done… only to get canceled on right before the collab,” she wrote in the video.

Details on the collaboration, including the type of content that would be made, have yet to be disclosed by the actress.

Article continues after this advertisementOne @yanggg!? asked the “Midnight Phantom” star if she was referring to Thai actor Win Metawin, who was recently in the Philippines for promotional activities for his upcoming film “Under Parallel Skies.” The actress, however, said it was not him.
Laurel also hinted that the cancellation was done by an international star when asked by another @simplyjhaycee if sisters Toni and Alex Gonzaga were behind the incident.
Meanwhile, Tiktok user @hmm.. hoped that Laurel would implement “contracts” to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
“When it’s simple online collabs, it isn’t a common practice,” she said in response.
Aside from her acting career, Laurel is known for creating pop culture content on her YouTube channel which usually covers the K-pop industry. Among the Korean stars featured on her channel are CL, Epik High, Treasure, The Boyz, and Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, just to name a few.
Laurel also hosted several K-pop events including the “K-Verse” joint concert featuring aespa, Taeyeon, and The Boyz in April 2023 and the “K-pop Overpass” concert headlined by EXO’s Baekhyun, B.I, and Jeon Somi.
