Andi Eigenmann said that the last video her mother, Jaclyn Jose, watched before her untimely death on March 2 was her daughter’s vlog.

In the latest episode of her vlog “Happy Islanders,” Eigenmann shared with her subscribers that she has been “dealing with a difficult time” following her mother’s passing and said that the mere reason she started vlogging in the first place was “to update her mother about her life in Siargao.”

“I am sure that you all know that I have been going through a difficult time in my life lately since my Nanay passed away, and things have not been easy. But you know she has always been the biggest Happy Islanders fan, and the whole purpose of me creating a vlog was also because, being away from my family, having Happy Islanders was the best way for me to keep her updated with my life here,” she tearfully expressed.

Eigenmann revealed that the video she uploaded on Feb. 28 was the last video Jose watched before she died on the morning of March 2 due to myocardial infarction, or heart attack.

“She’s been my biggest fan of everything that I do, and she loved watching Happy Islanders. In fact, when I was able to check her phone, I saw that on her YouTube, the last video she watched was our last video, our last Happy Islanders video,” she said.

In the newest episode of her vlog, Eigenmann shared a few highlights from their family bonding as she toured her only brother from her mother’s side, Gwen Guck, who is based in the United States but briefly stayed in the Philippines for the wake of their mother.

“I just wanted to let you know that although things have not been easy, I’d like to focus on spending time with my family, focusing on the good things in what’s there, and just making the most of our time together because losing my Nanay at such an unexpected time is proof that you don’t know what tomorrow brings.” she concluded.
