Son Chaeyoung of South Korean girl group TWICE and rapper and R&B singer Zion.T are confirmed to be in a relationship.
On Friday, April 5, Chaeyoung’s agency, JYP Entertainment, confirmed the dating rumors reported by several Korean media outlets.
“The two of them are currently dating with positive feelings for one another,” a representative from JYP wrote in a statement.
A representative of Zion.T’s agency, The Black Label, has also issued a similar statement, confirming the dating news.
According to the reports, Chaeyoung and Zion.T. have been seeing each other for the past six months, and they met through an acquaintance who introduced them to each other. The two are said to be enjoying their dates in the Gangbuk-gu area.
Serving as a main rapper and one of the maknaes (youngest) in the group, Chaeyoung debuted in 2015 as a member of TWICE, and gained a large following with their bubbly personalities and charming music.
Fellow TWICE member Jihyo also made headlines recently after rumors surfaced that she was dating Olympic skeleton racer-turned-TV personality Yun Sung-bin, but JYPE said at the time that it was “difficult to confirm” the pair’s relationship status.
TWICE first performed in the Philippines in 2019 and came back after four years for their two sold-out shows at the Philippine Arena, although at the time, Chaeyoung was unable to perform due to health issues.
This coming June, TWICE will return to the country for a snack fan meeting at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
The nine-piece girl group also recently released their comeback mini album “With YOU-th” last February, which includes the singles “I GOT YOU” and “ONE SPARK.” Over the years, TWICE has released many hits including “Feel Special” and “What Is Love?”, among others.
Meanwhile, Zion.T, who is 10 years older than Chaeyoung, is known for singles such as “Yanghwa Bridge,” “Eat” and “No Makeup,” “Hello Tutorial” featuring Seulgi of Red Velvet, and “I Just Want to Stay with You.”
