Miss Universe Philippines-Quezon City representative Lorraine Ojimba pulled out of this year’s competition, citing “personal matters” that have been affecting her mental and physical health.

Ojimba’s withdrawal from the pageant was announced by Miss Universe Philippines-Quezon City through its Instagram page on Wednesday, April 3.

“We understand how difficult it can be to withdraw from something you have worked hard for, and our heart goes out to Lorraine and everyone who supported her during her MUPh 2024 journey,” the statement began.

“While we are beyond grateful for everyone’s unwavering support, it saddens us to share that due to personal matters that are affecting Lorraine’s mental and physical well-being, she has decided to withdraw from the pageant,” it continued. “We want to assure everyone that this decision was made after careful consideration, prioritizing Lorraine’s health above all.”

The organization expressed its gratitude to Ojimba’s fans, asking them for their continued support as the beauty queen navigates her “new journey.”

Addressing Ojimba, the organization wrote: “We believe that you are limitless. We have every confidence that you will continue inspiring others so that they too can discover their own limitless possibilities. Your MUPhQC family will always be here to support you.”

“Be wherever you should be, and continue being the shining star that lights the universe—our first-ever Miss Universe Philippines-Quezon City,” it concluded.

Ojimba shared the announcement as well through her Instagram Stories.
