Miss Universe Organization (MUO) co-owner Anne Jakrajutatip appeared to be in fighting form as she threatened legal action against “fake news and smear campaigns” attempting to besmirch her media conglomerate JKN Global Group.

Jakrajutatip took to her Instagram account on Wednesday, April 3, to vow “legal action around the world” against fake news peddling smear campaigns against her company.

She also attached a corporate statement accusing Thailand-based TCG Social Media Group of promoting “defamation and false accusations” concerning the Miss Universe (MU) Coin controversy.

A screenshot of a Facebook post from The Philippine Pageantry was also included in her post, although it remains unknown if she would be filing a case against its admins.

“We will strongly take legal action now around the world with all [kinds] of fake news and smear campaigns related to our executives and our organization,” she said. “My apology [to] terms in the Thai language as they are the lawsuits from our corporation to people who had done us wrong locally. Right now, our corporate group will expand the capacity of legal teams and audit the accuracy of news in other parts of the world too.”

The Thai business mogul then thanked her supporters for “encouraging” her to do the “right thing.”

“With love, gratitude, and respect to all of our Supporters. You encouraged us to step up and do the right things. Thank you,” she wrote. She also posted a video of herself declaring legal action against rumor-mongers in Thai.

Jakrajutatip was previously in hot water after a leaked video of her claiming the pageant’s efforts to promote inclusivity are a “communication strategy,” which led her to clarify the video was “manipulated” to tarnish her reputation.

She was also involved in a word war against former MUO president Paula Shugart after she accused the latter of allegedly taking money under the table to ensure the win of certain Miss Universe titleholders.
