Jericho Rosales, Anne Curtis spark reunion movie rumors with new photo

Jericho Rosales and Anne Curtis had the netizens abuzz after the actress posted a picture with the actor and director Irene Villamor, hinting at a possible reunion movie.

On Instagram, Curtis shared a photo of them three having dinner and simply wrote in her caption, “When like minds collide.”

The fans took to the comments section of Curtis’ post to express their excitement over a possible reunion project between the two Kapamilya stars.

“Another Anne and Echo project??? Yes please,” wrote one IG user.

“Omg please sana matuloy kung ano man ‘yang meeting niyo nila Echo and Direk,” said another netizen.

“Movie with papa Echo na please ‘yung mala La La Land or The Notebook, mga ganong genre,” affirmed one fan.

Rosales and Curtis first worked in the 2008 romantic war film and Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “Baler.” It won 10 awards including Best Picture, Best Actress for Curtis, Best Director for Mark Meily, Best Screenplay for Roy Iglesias, Best Supporting Actor for Phillip Salvador, Best Cinematography for Lee Meily, Best Production Design for Aped Santos, Best Editing for Danny Anonuevo, the Gender-Sensitive Award and the Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award.

Set during the Siege of Baler in the Spanish Era, “Baler” tells the story of Feliza Reyes (Curtis), a woman in love with a Spanish-Filipino trooper, Celso Resurreccion (Rosales), amid the contentious event.

Meanwhile, director Villamor is known for her romantic films such as “Meet Me in St. Gallen,”  “On Vodka Beers and Regrets,” ‘Five Breakups and a Romance” and “Sid and Aya: Not a Love Story.”
