Anji Salvacion simply answered “maybe” when asked about the possibility of joining pageants in the future, although she said she wants to be a beauty queen to make a positive impact on others.
Salvacion admitted that she doesn’t want to “be on a Miss Universe” stage with the purpose of just “being there.”
“I don’t want to go somewhere I don’t have a purpose in. I don’t want to be [on] a Miss Universe stage just to be there. I wanted to be there because I wanted to give that impact sa lahat ng taong nakakapanood na sa akin (to people who are watching me),” she said during a Star Magic press conference.
The “Pinoy Big Brother” alum then stressed the importance of having a “drive” to empower others in pageants, as she spoke about her advocacy to support fellow women.
“If you advocate for something, you should have a purpose. You should have a drive,” she said. “[If I have an advocacy], fighting for women… women empowerment. We stand side by side with each other, not putting each other down.”
Salvacion also shared her passion for supporting children while pointing out that being a “better role model” for the “next generation” is a must.
“I believe, you know, we should be a better role model to them because these kids will be the future adults our next generation will look up to. We should live [to be] a legacy [to others],” she said. “A good legacy for them na they could share din sa susunod na kapanahunan (to the next generation).”

In the same mediacon, the actress-singer said she doesn’t want to end her acting career despite the criticisms she received for her performance in “Linlang,” which also starred Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino and JM de Guzman.
Salvacion also shared that she’s “focusing on [her] music” to fulfill her longtime dream, touching on her EP “Grit.”
