“Bad Boys: Ride or Die” is the latest soon-to-be addition to the Bad Boys movie franchise that has been active on and off for decades. The upcoming big-budget Hollywood movie stars “Bad Boys” Will Smith as “Michael Eugene ‘Mike’ Lowrey’ and Martin Lawrence as “Detective Lieutenant Marcus Miles Burnett” in what could be the final installment to one of the greatest series of “buddy-cop” movies ever made.

A lot of us have memories of watching a Bad Boys movie at some point in our lives, which made us instant fans of the tandem of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence together in a movie because they work so well together. And it is not chemistry or anything like that; they simply behave like two normal guys who are Miami-based cops who sometimes want to beat each other up but are forced to combine forces to solve crimes in their style of doing things, which often involves a lot of profanity, shootouts, beautiful women, car chases, exploded houses, and mayhem. Therefore, the recent announcement of another Bad Boys movie has once again sparked excitement among fans. All I can say is that there was never a time when a Bad Boys movie did not deliver the goods, because they always do!

Indeed, this third sequel in “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” promises once more to transport fans of the franchise back to the explosive, fun, and unhinged atmosphere of the ’90s and early 2000s action-comedy movies because during this time, movies now considered classics were watched without the burden of today’s “restrictions and regulations” in terms of suitable content. In short, the era that gave birth to the first Bad Boys movie is often considered the best time for action-comedy movies compared to the present day, which adds to the immense value of having another Bad Boys movie made.

FEATURED STORIES

The soon-to-be-released ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ is part of a successful movie franchise that features Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as Miami cops who have to bend the rules to solve heinous crimes and aren’t afraid to get down and dirty to get the job done. They’re not your typical “Miami Vice” cops, but they share a similar philosophy. They’ll do whatever it takes to solve the unsolvable crime, even if it means putting their lives on the line, as we have seen in the past three movies. Are they always on the right side of the law? No, but they are the only ones who can stop the bad guys when no one else can or will.

I have noticed that the official trailer for ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ might have revealed too much about the possible plot, but there’s no need to worry about spoilers. I did not miss the shaky camera, though, as that style of cinematography often takes away the enjoyment of the action scenes. On a more important note, the Bad Boys movies always deliver action, comedy, and explosiveness, so it’s safe to say this one will be just as exciting. Thus far, all the Bad Boys movies have been great to excellent and not necessarily in that order, especially the first two, which showcased the prime “Bad Boys” doing their thing.

It is not surprising at all that the Bad Boys movie franchise still manages to generate a lot of buzz, excitement, and attention despite the long gaps between sequels. Even though Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are getting older, they continue to bring the same energy, attitude, and personality to their roles that gave birth to their long-running movie franchise that people can’t get enough of because the said movies are entertaining to the max. This is a testament to the commitment, fighting spirit, and desire of these veteran Hollywood actors that they can effortlessly still portray their respective characters on-screen, and I am hoping that Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will bring their best once more in ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die.’

For those of you who have enjoyed the Bad Boys movies, don’t miss your chance to see them once again—and perhaps for the last time—in ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ when it hits theaters.
