Carla Abellana said she does not see the need to comment about the new girlfriend of her ex-husband, Tom Rodriguez.

In a recent interview on “24 Oras,” the Kapuso actress remarked that she knew Rodriguez is back in the country and that the new girl that he’s dating is “not her concern.” 

“I don’t see the need to comment or even react. Parang it’s not any of my concern anymore, parang ganon. Kumbaga I am aware naman na nakabalik na siya,” she said. 

Abellana reiterated that she is prepared if their paths would cross again, given that they work for the same network.

“Kung dahil sa trabaho, prepared naman ako. Nasabi ko naman na ‘yun na kung mag-krus ang landas namin, whether sa studio or what, guesting kung ano man ‘yan, prepared naman ako for that,” explained the actress. 

(If it’s because of work, I’m prepared. I already said that if our paths cross, whether in the studio or what, guesting whatever it is, I am prepared for that.)

The “Rosalinda” star affirmed that it is best that they “let each other be” if their encounter happens soon. 

In his previous interview with GMA News, Rodriguez revealed that he was dating again as he has “healed” from his breakup with Abellana. He also said that he wanted to keep the identity of his new girl “private.” 

Meanwhile, Abellana shared in February that she was “open” to love but “has no plans” to get married again. 

“Aminin ko po ang daming nag-change ‘yung mga perspective ko po, especially with marriage. I really honestly I don’t see myself getting married again. Nag-iba po, nabulabog ang aking concept,” she told Boy Abunda at the time.

The two have been separated for two years now.
