Heart Evangelista ‘traumatized’ after having uneven lips due to fillers

Heart Evangelista revealed that she once had her lip fillers done by a close friend who did not have the license to do such a cosmetic procedure, and was “traumatized” because her lips turned out uneven.
The actress-fashion personality narrated her experience while answering questions from fans during a now-deleted Instagram livestream. A clip from the livestream has been re-uploaded by @pageantchika on its TikTok page on Tuesday, March 19.
“I did get lip filler. I just didn’t want to talk about it because I was super traumatized, because when I got the lip filler, I went against Dr. Aivee,” she said, referring to celebrity doctor Aivee Teo. “I didn’t do it with her. I did it with somebody that was very, very close to me, but he didn’t have the license to do my lips.”

Evangelista further disclosed that she got bashed about the appearance of her lips at the time, but that she did not want the public to know about what happened.
“I trusted him,” she continued, opting not to name anyone in particular. “Kumbaga, budol na budol ako, so ginawa ko ‘yung lip filler. Ni hindi ko alam kung ano ‘yung nilagay niya sa lips ko but basically, uneven ‘yung lips ko.”

Despite this, Evangelista said she had so much trust in that certain individual that she went back to him and let him fix her lips. Unfortunately, he was not able to do so.
“Never tayo magpapabudol ever again… Actually, technically, pwedeng-pwede [siya makulong] kasi wala siyang lisensya tapos malpractice pa,” she said. “Sobrang nagpasa-pasa. I had pain.”
(We will never be fooled again. Actually, technically, he can be jailed for what he did because he didn’t have the license and it was even a malpractice. My lips were full of bruises and [it was painful].)
“It was so bad so I had a doctor [who] had to take it out and fix it because it was really, really bad,” she added. “I was in denial for a time. I really thought that mahal ako ng taong ‘yon pero na-malpractice ako (…that person loved me but as it turned out, I became a victim of malpractice).”
Just earlier, Evangelista had an interview alongside her husband, Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero, and admitted that her “greatest mistake” was having too much trust in other people.
