WWF-PH remarked that Pablo’s musical career embodies the Philippine environmental advocacies, making him a “perfect ambassador” for the agency.

“As SB19’s songwriter, creative director, and CEO of their label, Pablo has masterfully infused his music with Filipino culture, flavor, and style. Earth Hour is a global grassroots movement for the environment and we celebrate it in our own unique Filipino way. Pablo is the perfect ambassador for Earth Hour,” Ibay added.

In partnership with the Manila City Local Government for its 16th year, the yearly Earth Hour event will take place at the Kartilya ng Katipunan in Manila City. The global switching off of lights will be observed from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., local time. Aside from Pablo, performers also include Ched and Lirah Bermudez.

Through the years, over 190 countries have participated in the worldwide switch-off as a grassroots movement for nature. Earth Hour Philippines was first celebrated in the country in 2008, one year after it was introduced in Australia.
