Days after Han So-hee personally confirmed her relationship with “Reply 1988” star Ryu Jun-yeol, the actress’ agency 9ato Entertainment announced that it would “take strong action” against offensive remarks thrown against her.

Han herself confirmed that she’s dating Ryu in her blog on Saturday, March 16, where she appealed to the public to not address their relationship as a “rebound.”

In the comments of her post, the actress also replied to netizens questioning her about the timing of her relationship with Ryu.

Others also criticized her for the alleged “overlapping” of their romance with the actor’s ex-girlfriend Hyeri.

Ryu was in a longtime relationship with his “Reply 1988” co-star Hyeri until their split was confirmed in November 2023.

“What I said about the [timing of their breakup] wasn’t something I heard personally [from Ryu Jun-yeol],” she said via a Soompi translation.

“I wrote that based on an article from June of last year, but if it was out of line, I’ll delete it. I was trying to prove that we didn’t get together while he was still dating [Hyeri], but I think this was rude as well.”

Following the allegations, 9ato Entertainment announced on X on Monday, March 18 that it’s planning to take “strong action” against those who made hate comments against her.

“Han So-hee feels gratitude for the public’s attention that comes with her job as an actress and she has worked to give back for the love and support of many people,” wrote 9ato on X (formerly Twitter) via a Soompi translation.

“However, being a human before being an actress, she is experiencing a very difficult time emotionally due to speculative posts and malicious comments.”

“In relation to this, we will take strong action against those who write or circulate any malicious content that damages the reputation of our artist, regardless of the degree of its severity,” her agency added.

Han’s label also noted that Han is “deeply reflecting on the troubles” following the controversial announcement of her relationship with Ryu.

“We will closely watch over our actress to ensure that she can move in the right direction and will put in our full effort to protect our artist,” 9ato added.

Meanwhile, Hyeri said sorry for allowing her “impulsive emotions” to cause “ripple effects” in a now-deleted post.

Ryu, on the other hand, confirmed his relationship with Han through his agency CJes Studios but has yet to speak up about his involvement with both actresses, as of this writing.
