Rayver Cruz has apologized for his “hyper” behavior during his recent livestream with girlfriend Julie Anne San Jose, an incident that drew backlash on social media.

Cruz went live with San Jose so they could interact with fans, but he caught the public’s attention for the wrong reasons: when he appeared to be hyperactive and could not focus, so much so that even San Jose seemed disturbed by his actions.

The actor-dancer kept on laughing at some point and seemed absent-minded while responding to an inquiry, as recorded by one @mehmehmeh143 on X (formerly Twitter).

Reacting to this post, Cruz said sorry, while clarifying that he was just being his usual “playful and happy” self in the livestream, especially in the company of San Jose.

“Sa mga na offend sa kilos ko kanina sa live stream namin, sorry. But I was just being myself. Playful and happy talaga ako,” he said. “Lalo na when I’m with my love. She knows that, she knows me.”

Cruz then pointed out that he would never hurt San Jose as he was “raised” by his mom properly while stressing that he respects his girlfriend, job, and colleagues in the industry.

“Hinding hindi ko kayang saktan si Julie,” he said. “I respect Julie sobra sobra, and sobra ko syang mahal pati ang family niya. Pangalawa, may respeto ako sa trabaho ko at sa mga katrabaho ko. Hinding hindi ako gagawa ng makakasira dun.”

In his post, the Kapuso star also appealed to the public to have an open mind and practice respect. “At sana, matuto na rin tayo rumespeto sa iba at maging malawak ang pag-iisip. Salamat po and goodnight,” he said.

Meanwhile, San Jose replied to @mehmehmeh143 on X after the latter accused the actor of being under the influence of “drugs.”

“Minsan lang po ako sumagot sa mga ganto but sobra ka na po. Below the belt and harsh na po itong accusations, please stop,” she said.

Cruz’s agency Sparkle GMA Artist Center has yet to address the allegations hounding the “Asawa ng Asawa Ko” star, as of this writing.

Cruz and San Jose are set to perform with fellow Kapuso stars Ruru Madrid, Bianca Umali, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco at the Sparkle Goes To Canada joint concert in April.
