The Star Magical Prom 2024 brought the magic of fairy tales to Alabang in Muntinlupa on Thursday, March 14, where Belle Mariano, Donny Pangilinan, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Alexa Ilacad, and KD Estrada were among the stars who turned up in their breathtaking ensembles.
The second edition of Star Magical Prom, which took place at the Bellevue Hotel in Alabang, witnessed the brightest young stars, love teams and emerging names of talent agency Star Magic all glammed up in their fairytale-themed outfits inspired by fantasy stories and characters.
Pangilinan and Mariano—2023’s Prom King and Queen—brought a modern twist to the classic fairy tale “Beauty and the Beast,” where the actor completed his pinstripe navy Orias suit with a glass rose. Mariano looked breathtaking in a golden yellow dress with a sweetheart neckline by Francis Libiran.
Ilacad was reminiscent of Ariel in “The Little Mermaid” in her iridescent corset gown showing off her curves by Ehrran Montoya. Her sultry look was made possible by celebrity stylist Patty Yap, makeup artist Jake Galvez and hairstylist Justine Ocampo. Meanwhile, Estrada looked like Prince Eric in his dark-blue suit by Francis Libiran.
The onscreen partners known as KDLex were named this year’s Prom King and Queen.
Cinderella was the main inspiration for Diaz’s prom look as she donned an elegant sky-blue gown by Anthony Ramirez and had her hair up in a chignon. On the other hand, Fedelin wore a white suit with a plunging neckline while having his tresses curled.
The rising tandem of Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings—also known as SnoRene—hammed it up on the ivory carpet in their modern take on fairytale gowns, with Racal looking sultry in a two-piece blue gown and white gloves, and Jennings looking like a prince in his blue suit jacket adorned with silver beadwork and dark pants.
Other couples who graced the red carpet were Jeremiah Lisbo and Kaori Oinuma; Brent Manalo and Vivoree Esclito; Kobie Brown and Andi Abaya; Harvey Bautista and Criza Taa; Beaver Magtalas and Mutya Orquia; and Zaijian Jaranilla and Xyriel Manabat.
P-pop boy group BGYO, consisting of Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki and Nate, also made an appearance in their “The Wizard of Oz”-inspired ensembles.
Anji Salvacion, Miggy Jimenez, Karina Bautista and Krystal Brimner were among the rising stars who looked breathtaking in their mythical outfits as well.
