Matteo Guidicelli informed the public that scammers have been using his and his wife Sarah Geronimo’s name in luring national ID holders to apply for a supposed P5,000 cash assistance.
Through his X page on Monday, March 11, the actor shared a screenshot from a TikTok video with the caption “National ID cash assistance.”
The video includes a snippet from Guidicelli and Geronimo’s Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) promotional video as ambassadors.
“Big SCAM. Please be careful,” Guidicelli warned of the video.

The video, which has garnered over 90,000 likes and more than 31,000 shares, has yet to be taken down as of this writing.
Meanwhile, Guidicelli and Geronimo earlier flew to California to attend the Billboard Women in Music Awards, where the actress-singer made history as the first homegrown Filipina to receive the Global Force Award.
Geronimo also recently confessed that while she’s excited to have a child with Guidicelli, she still fears she’s not “equipped” enough to be a mom.
Nonetheless, Geronimo said she would gladly welcome their first child if God blesses them with it.
