Stay tuned for more Miss World 2024 updates!
As the Miss World 2024 Festival nears its homestretch, here’s what the pageant organization has prepared for the final competition on March 9 at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai, India.
Megan Young, 2013 winner and the lone Filipino woman to capture the crown to date, will return for her seventh stint as host, together with Indian celebrity Karan Johar. Performances for the 71st edition will be provided by Shaan, Neha Kakkar, and Tony Kakkar, with 2019 Miss World Tori-Ann Singh as special musical guest.
The Miss World Organization already posted on social media the competition format that viewers can expect to see on stage.
As in the past, 40 quarterfinalists will be announced. This list already includes the winners of the “fast-track” events—top model, talent, multimedia, sports challenge, beauty with a purpose (four, one from each region), and five from the head-to-head challenge.
The list will be trimmed further to just 12 semi-finalists, where at least two from each geographic region should be included. The remaining four slots will be filled up by delegates from any region.
Next to be called will be the Top 8 delegates, two from each of the geographic regions of Asia and Oceania, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. After that, one lady from each region will be called to make up the Top 4.
