Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Sotto said that the best thing about raising a big family is that it serves to provide them “entertainment,” explaining that bonding together is the ultimate gift.

Interviewed recently by Modern Parenting Philippines, Hermosa shared that she became more excited about life when she became part of the big Sotto family.

“Meron ka laging someone that you can call on kasi ako I grew up in a small family, siya (Sotto) big family ever since so sanay siya doon. Kaya noong naging part ako ng family nila, I’m always excited kasi ang daming kausap,” she said.

The “Pangako Sa’yo” actress underscored that it’s entertaining for her when she sees their family enjoy each other’s presence.

“Entertainment para sakin ‘yon just by watching them talking to each other. Nae-entertain talaga ako saka hindi ka nauubusan. If the other one is not at home, for sure, may isa jan na you can talk to,” she remarked.

Hermosa shared that she’s happy whenever she hears and sees many people around her, stressing that family’s presence ultimately matters to her.

“Ayun siguro ‘yung masarap na feeling kapag maraming kapatid. Gusto ko ‘yung marami akong nakikita around the house. Gusto ko ‘yung surrounded ako by family. ‘Yung different noises, for as long as masarap pakinggan.”

Meanwhile, Sotto said that whenever he talks to their kids, he reminds them that they are lucky to have each other.

“Parang ganon rin, masaya. Kapag nakikita ko ‘yung mga bata lagi ko sinasabi sa kanila, ‘You’re so blessed ang dami ninyo… Kasi kayo lang rin magstick together, kayo lang rin ‘yung magtutulungan,’” he said.

The celebrity couple are currently raising their five children, with another one on the way as Hermosa recently announced that she is expectant. The two described their household as “maingay, happy riot, and parang laging may party.”
