Sandara Park said she’s very open to do acting projects in the Philippines, revealing she wishes to work with Coco Martin and be his leading lady in a film.
The K-pop star, who recently returned to the Philippines for a short trip, said this when asked if she plans to have future projects in the country.
“Gustong-gusto ko—I have a wish! Sana magka-project kami ni Coco Martin in the future; sana!” she exclaimed in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN on Wednesday, Feb. 28.
“I really love his movies. Napanood ko lahat ng movies niya, lalo na ‘yung mga romantic comedies. So sana maging leading man ko siya in the future,” she added.
Prior to her interview, Park met Martin along with actress Maris Racal and rapper Shanti Dope for a brand advertisement.
“Kanina, sabi niya ‘Yeah, let’s do something together.’ So sana maging totoo ‘yon,” Park said.
Meanwhile, Park also spoke about her former K-pop group 2NE1 and admitted that she also hopes to have a reunion concert with members CL, Minzy and Bom.
“For now, wala akong masasabi but I think there’s always right time for everything. Ako rin, I’m waiting for the reunion,” she underscored.
Park first gained fame as a “Star Circle Quest” talent in the country in 2004, then debuted as a member of 2NE1 in 2009. The group officially disbanded in 2016.
Park ended her music hiatus in July 2023 and released her self-titled and first solo album in 20 years.
