Cristy Fermin slams Dominic Roque, politicians after alleged ‘malicious innuendos’

Cristy Fermin asserted that she wouldn’t apologize to Dominic Roque, Dapitan Mayor Bullet Jalosjos, and former Quezon City congressman Bong Suntay, after she was accused by Roque’s lawyers of making “malicious innuendos” under the guise of entertainment news.
In the Feb. 21 episode of her show “Cristy Ferminute,” Fermin denied starting the rumors wherein either Jalosjos or Suntay were Roque’s benefactors, as the actor allegedly owned a condominium unit owned by one of them. She then pointed out that she didn’t mention any name in her vlogs.
“Wala po akong binanggit na pangalan. Napatunayan ko na ang condo unit [ni Roque] ay nakabanggit sa isang pulitiko [pero] wala akong binanggit. Puro katanungan ‘yun,” she said, while claiming that she remained silent throughout the whole ordeal.
“Dominic Roque, ikaw dapat ang magbigay ng linaw kung sino ang pulitikong may ari ng condo unit. Hindi kailangan sa akin manggaling,” Fermin continued. “Hindi ako nagsalita… ne hindi ko nga binanggit ang condo unit samantalang alam na alam ang address. Wala kayong narinig sa akin.”
Fermin then stressed that Jalosjos and Suntay were involved in the allegations about Roque and Bea Alonzo calling off their wedding due to “certain vloggers” like Xian Gaza using her as a source for their remarks against the parties involved.

‘Napakasensitibo mo’
While addressing the allegations, Fermin then challenged Roque, Jalosjos, and Suntay to show any proof that the showbiz columnist insinuated such allegations against them even though she “didn’t do anything wrong.”
The columnist claimed that it was Roque and Alonzo’s fault for not addressing the rumors surrounding their breakup sooner. “Ano ang malisya ko para sirain sina Bea at Dominic? Pinagtatanggol ko nga sila!”
“Dominic, dapat sa’yo nanggaling ang paglilinaw. Bakit pinatagal mo kasi,” she continued. “At ‘yung paghihiwalay niyo ni Bea Alonzo, tiniwangwang niyo kasi nang matagal na panahon. Binigyan niyo ng malinaw na pinto ang mga reporters, vloggers, at bashers para panghimasukan ang breakup niyo.”
Fermin accused Roque of being sensitive throughout the entirety of the issue despite the latter being a public figure, saying he appeared to be someone who was against any form of report that would besmirch his reputation.
“Dominic Roque, nakapaselan mo! Napakasensitibo mo! Public figure ka pero lumalabas dito na ayaw mong may naririnig at nababasa na para sa iyo ay hindi kagandahan. Hindi pwede ‘yun! Nasa showbiz ka,” she said. “‘Yung kapribaduhan na hinihingi niyo ni Bea, maramot sa inyo ‘yun.”
In her statement, Fermin also appeared to remind Roque to be grateful to her as she supposedly defended him in her vlogs about the issue — even when it came to his relationship with Alonzo.
“Ikaw Dominic, hindi ka pa nga sikat. Ang totoo, kuminang ang pangalan mo dahil kay Bea Alonzo. Magpakatotoo tayo. Tapos ikaw pa ang magiging ganito kaselan at ka-inosente? Unang una, walang malisya, Dominic. Ipinagtatanggol ka pa namin,” she said.
“Lagi kong ipinagtatanggol ang estado mo sa buhay na hindi pera ang simula at wakas ng isang relasyon! Hindi pera ang barometro ang kaligayahan ng magiging mag-asawa… kung meron mang pera ang babae at wala ang lalaki, tatanggapin niya dapat ‘yung kakulangan at kalabisan.”

To end her video, Fermin said she wouldn’t apologize to Roque and the politicians involved — zeroing in on Jalosjos — as she presented her past reports “fairly” without an attempt to put a dent in someone’s reputation.
“Kung nirerespeto niyo ang inyong sarili, nirerespeto ko ang sarili ko. Hindi ko hihintayin na ibang tao ang rumespeto sa akin,” she said. “[Mayor Bullet], hindi ako hihingi sa’yo ng patawad, ne paumanhin, ipagdadamot ko. Kasi kahit kailan, hindi ko sinabi na si Dominic Roque ay nakatira sa isang condo unit ng isang baklang pulitiko, wala akong binanggit na gan’un. Hindi ako papayag na ako ay itulak sa pader nang walang kalaban-laban.”
Roque, Jalosjos, and Suntay have yet to address the allegations, as of this writing.
