Bianca Umali says it’s hard to maintain celebrity relationship

Bianca Umali reflected on the celebrity breakups that have been making headlines lately and said she and her boyfriend Ruru Madrid don’t know what the future holds, although they keep the faith in their relationship.
Sitting down on “Luis Listens,” the Kapuso actress admitted that the recent celebrity breakups have put a scare especially on those who are in the same industry.
“Nakakatakot ‘yung time na ‘yon kasi tuloy tuloy ‘yung mga naghihiwalay hindi lang basta bastang couple. Alam mong sila ‘yung mga poste ng love life dito sa Pilipinas,” she said.
Umali affirmed that she and her boyfriend don’t know what will happen in the future but that they get comforted knowing that God is the center of their relationship.
“Para samin, hindi naman rin namin ma-promise na walang mangyayaring masama samin na hindi kami mag-aaway, na hindi malalaman ng mga tao ‘yung nangyayari sa relationship namin. But we had faith in the relationship parang we held on to knowing na ang center ng relationship namin is our faith, is God, so we gave it all to Him,” said the actress.
The “Kambal Karibal” actress acknowledged that it is difficult to maintain a relationship in show biz, even as she stressed that there’s too much judgment being thrown at the people involved.
“It is [harder] lalo for me, I value privacy a lot. Hindi ako gaanong kaopen book. I’m not an extrovert. It’s sad that some people think they know who you both are and how you both do things and handle the relationship. ‘Yung lahat ng judgment ba, it’s hard to get pass through that.”
Umali underscored that she and Madrid live on the “structure” that is just the two of them in the relationship, despite what people, including those close to them, say. What they have to say to each other is what matters at the end of the day.
“And being in the industry, ang daming taong involved sa buhay natin. ‘Yung mga taong nakapalibot satin so parang lahat ‘yan may comment. ‘Yung naging structure lang namin ni Ruru ay kahit ano pang sabihin ng mga tao, even sa inner circle namin, kaming dalawa pa rin ‘yung nasa relasyon,” explained the actress.
“We are in a relationship with each other and not with the people around us so kung ano ‘yung magiging desisyon namin, it depends on just both of us. Of course, we will listen, maririnig namin ‘yung mga opinyon ng iba but it’s still just the two of us,” stressed Umali.
The couple will be celebrating their sixth anniversary this coming July. However, in 2023, Madrid admitted that he and Umali had briefly broken up in 2019, a separation that lasted for eight months.
The actor affirmed that their separation made him realize that the actress is “the one” for him.
