Arci Muñoz stars with Korean actor Kang Donggun in new film 'Sweet Escape'

Arci Muñoz and Korean actor Kang Donggun will join forces in the upcoming film “Sweet Escape,” which tells the story of two people “yearning for freedom.”

The trailer of the film, which is produced by RR Entertainment Production and directed by Rommel Ricafort, was released on the production company’s Facebook page on Wednesday, Feb. 14.

The trailer shows Muñoz’s Candy and Kang’s Dave meeting and eventually developing romantic feelings for each other. However, the pair would later be confronted by the secrets from their pasts.

“Sharing to the world a glimpse of a heart-warming story between two people yearning for freedom as they run away from their dark past,” the caption read, only hinting that the movie is set to premiere “soon.”

Other cast members include Filipino actors Matet de Leon, William Lorenzo and Ayeesha Cervantes.

The romance drama film was among the selected projects that were granted funding by the Film Development Council of the Philippines under its Project Development and Post-Production Fund of CreatePHFilm.

“Sweet Escape” is also the second full-length Filipino-Korean collaboration film of RR Entertainment Production, with the 2020 movie “You with Me” being the first.
