‘Madame Web’ script went through ‘drastic’ changes, says Dakota Johnson
“Madame Web” is currently showing in cinemas and has been receiving mixed reviews so far. Dakota Johnson who headlines the superhero film revealed the script went through “drastic” changes during the production.
In an interview with entertainment platform The Wrap, the Hollywood star was asked if the final script that was released in cinemas was the same one she first read on the table, given that sometimes things change in the middle of the filming.
“There were drastic changes. And I can’t even tell you what they were,” she remarked.
Given the Spider-Woman film deals with point of views from present and future, the “Fifty Shades of Grey” actress underscored that filming multiple versions of the scenes doubles the workload for the cast and crew.
“It added so many different camera set-ups, like triple the amount of work. And it was very complex, and there’s only minor differences between each version of the same scene, so it was like puzzle pieces, and really paying attention to what moment we’re in, and what angle we’re in, and continuity and things like that,” explained Johnson.

That to me was absolutely psychotic. I was like, ‘I don’t know if this is going to be good at all! I hope that I did an OK job!’ she remarked.
The “Madame Web” had its Los Angeles premiere on February 12 (U.S. time), and Johnson graced the red carpet wearing a completely see-through web-inspired gown. Other stars of the film also dazzled in the premiere were Sydney Sweeney, Emma Roberts, Isabela Merced, and Celeste O’Connor, among others.
