Enrique Gil says not resentful of Liza Soberano’s absence at movie premiere
Enrique Gil said he “totally understands” Liza Soberano’s absence on the premiere night of his comeback film “I Am Not Big Bird,” as the actress was at an event happening simultaneously.
Gil, along with cast mates Nikko Natividad, Red Ollero, and Pepe Herrera, graced the premiere night of their comedy film at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City which started at around 6 p.m.
Soberano, on the other hand, was in a cosmetics event at the Blueleaf Pavilion in McKinley Hill, Taguig City at around 6:00 p.m. as well, clashing with Gil’s event. The “Lisa Frankenstein” star was set to fly back to Los Angeles shortly after.
When Gil was asked how he felt about his longtime girlfriend “not making it” to his film showing, the actor assured them that it was fine, saying he understood where she was coming from.
“I know. It’s fine, it’s fine. I’m going to have another screening with her. I know she’s really busy,” Gil told reporters on the sidelines of the film’s screening.

Gil and Soberano are currently busy with promotions for their films “I Am Not Big Bird” and “Lisa Frankenstein,” both of which hit theaters in February. Despite this, the Kapamilya star said he and the actress are still together but are busy with their respective careers.
