Blackpink’s Lisa will make her acting debut as a cast member of “The White Lotus” season three, although details about her character and storyline are yet to be disclosed.

The casting of Lisa — who will be credited as Lalisa Manobal in the Mike White-helmed black comedy anthology — was confirmed in a release on Tuesday, Feb. 13.

She will be joining several celebrities including Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravicius, Christian Friedel, Scott Glenn, Walton Goggins, Dom Hetrakul, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, and Julian Kostov.

Also cast in the show’s third installment are Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, and Aimee Lou Wood.

“Lalisa Manobal is a rapper, singer, and dancer best known as Lisa, a member of the globally renowned K-pop girl group Blackpink,” her agency LLOUD said in a statement. “Along with her unparalleled stage presence, she is known for her unique fashion sense and trendsetting style, making her a prominent figure in the global fashion industry.”

“The White Lotus” season three will be filmed in Phuket, Bangkok, and Koh Samui in Thailand sometime in February.

The comedy series centers around a fictional, “idyllic” White Lotus resort which becomes the resting place of guests and employees going through psychosocial disorders.

Lisa is the third Blackpink member who will debut as an actress after Jisoo and Jennie. Earlier this month, she announced that she joined the entertainment agency LLOUD, which is put up by the K-pop superstar herself.

She debuted as the main dancer, lead rapper, and vocalist of Blackpink in August 2016. She made her solo debut in September 2021 with her first single album “Lalisa.”
